They may be top of Group G with two successive wins but all is not well within the Mexico camp.

Disagreements have been surfacing lately between coach Javier Aguirre and some of his stars.

The main problem concerns forward Cuauhtemoc Blanco, considered the most influential player of the team.

According to El Universal newspaper, Aguirre and Blanco are no longer on speaking terms.

The forward was angry when he was substituted near the end of the victory over Ecuador on Sunday.

"Blanco wants special treatment because he is the star of the team," the paper reported.

It seems that two other forwards, Francisco Palencia and Luis Hernandez, who have thus far been left on the bench are also unhappy with the coach.

Aguirre did not deny the discontent within the squad, but is refusing to worry too much about it.

"I solve these things by myself. It happens in the best families. I will talk personally with every player to find out their grievances," he said.
