Gennaro Gattuso

Club: AC Milan
Position: Midfielder

Gattuso got his big break in Scotland with Rangers where he was a League and Cup winner.

In 1998 he secured a move back home to Serie A with Salernitana.

Things went so well there that within eight months he was playing for Milan.

Gattuso quickly settled at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, earning call-ups to the Italy Under-21 and senior squads.

An industrious midfield player, Gattuso was an Under-21 European Champion in 2000.

He can play in the centre of midfield but is equally at home working on the right flank.

In England, he is remembered for a fine long-range effort which won a friendly between the two countries in November 2000.
