Jens Jeremies

Club: Bayern Munich
Position: Midfielder

The qualifying trail was an unhappy one for Jeremies as he was forced to watch from the sidelines for much of it due to knee ligament damage.

Germany clearly missed his industry and ability to turn even the most precarious position into an attacking opportunity.

He struggles to keep the red mist from appearing at crucial moments such is his commitment to his club and country's causes.

His experience of the big stage, as a veteran of France 98 and Euro 2000 make him a valuable member of Rudi Voeller's plans and an able deputy for Michael Ballack.
