Oliver Bierhoff

Club: Monaco
Position: Forward

While Oliver Bierhoff's best days are behind him he still possesses enough presence to unsettle defences.

He carved his place in German football history with the two goals which won Euro 96 against the Czech Republic.

In his last season with Udinese before France 98 he finished as the top scorer in Serie A with 27 goals and earned himself a big money move to AC Milan.

Possesses remarkable strength in the air and a powerful shot which saw him help himself to seven goals in eight qualifying games to take Germany to Euro 2000.

But with age beginning to take its toll his goals started to dry up and he was shipped out to Monaco at the beginning of last season.

He has been used regularly at the tournament as a substitute in what looks likely to be his international swansong.
