Marko Rehmer

Club: Hertha Berlin
Position: Defender

Since Euro 2000 Rehmer has become an almost permanent fixture in the German defence.

Before that tournament his development was hindered by a terrible knee injury that kept him out of action for six months.

He is an uncompromising centre-back whose presence can unsettle opponents.

However, he is occasionally suspect tactically and can be caught out of position.

He is good in the air and managed to get on the scoresheet three times in the World Cup qualifying programme.
