Wes Brown

Club: Manchester United
Position: Defender

An accomplished centre-back, Brown is also comfortable in the right-back slot and will provide cover in both positions this summer.

Powerful in the air, his pace makes him a formidable all-round defender no matter where he plays.

Brown enjoys getting forward too, especially down the flank - and he is not afraid to try his luck from range.

A World Cup place seemed beyond him when he tore medial knee ligaments in December but he has recovered fully and will be a definite asset in the Far East.
