Robbie Fowler

Club: Leeds United
Position: Forward

Demonstrated his superb finishing ability by scoring England's goal in the friendly against Italy at the end of March.

Moved from Liverpool to Leeds for 11m earlier in the season in order to play regular first-team football.

His confidence and form picked up immediately under David O'Leary and he is still regarded as the best finisher out of all England's strikers.

The way that Sven-Goran Eriksson sends his side out to play means that Emile Heskey will always be his first choice as Michael Owen's partner.

But when it comes down to simply putting the ball in the back of the net, Fowler is the man.

Strong in the air and on the ground he is equally capable of mixing the spectacular with tap-ins.
