Robert Kovac

Club: Bayern Munich
Position: Defender

The younger of the two Kovac brothers, he playes alongside Niko at Bundesliga side Bayern Munich.

The 27-year-old has been a massive influence in his side's domestic and European aspirations, with his assurance on the ball and his strength in dispossessing opponents at the heart of his game.

Like brother Niko, he represented Bayer Leverkusen before switching to their rivals Bayern.

If fit, he is expected to play in all of Croatia's matches at the World Cup finals.
