Carlos Castro

Club: Alajuelense
Position: Midfielder

Certainly one of Costa Rica's most versatile and vibrant players, Castro is most at ease on the left.

A former under-17 and under-20 international, he tends to be used equally in defence and midfield.

He constantly whips in dangerous crosses for Hernan Medford, Paolo Wanchope and Rolando Fonseca.

Arguably the 23-year-old lacks the edge in the final yards of the pitch - he has no goals to show so far.
