Alvaro Mesen

Club: Alajuelense
Position: Goalkeeper

A solid shot stopper, Mesen will remain Costa Rica's second choice keeper, at least for the time being.

The 29-year-old had been his side's number one for the opening games of qualifying before Erick Lonnis was called upon to take over the gloves.

His form has been a little indifferent recently.

And he faces pressure from the younger Lester Morgan.
