Boukar Alioum

Club: Samsunspor
Position: Goalkeeper

Alioum is still riding high on the crest of his African Nations Cup success.

The 30-year-old, in his early days renowned for going from the sublime to the ridiculous in the goalmouth, produced a sensational performance for victory in the final over Senegal.

His two saves in the penalty shootout were enough to seal a second consecutive title for the Indomnitable Lions and effectively ensure his position as number one keeper for the World Cup.

He currently plays his club football in Turkey with Samsunspor.
