Cafu

Club: Roma
Position: Defender

What Roberto Carlos is on the left, Cafu is on the right - an effective attacking defender.

Cafu has deft skill that would put many top-class midfielders in the shade and he has been a regular in the Brazilian side since the mid-1990s.

He signed for Serie A club AC Roma in 1997 from Palmeiras.

His influence on the Italian giants has been immense having helped them to win the league in the 2000/2001 season.

The defender is one of the most experienced players in the Brazil squad and is a key player and an astute captain.
