Glen de Boeck

Club: Anderlecht
Position: Defender

De Boeck has been a regular in Belgium squads for years, but has never quite established himself in the starting line-up.

The Anderlecht skipper has the perfect opportunity this summer with Celtic stopper Joos Valgaeren injured.

De Boeck has stood in for Valgaeren before, partnering Eric Van Meir in qualifying, and did a lot to win over his doubters.

The 30-year-old has amassed considerable experience over the last few seasons.

As well as his exploits for the national side he has played in the Champions League with Anderlecht.
