Bernd Thijs

Club: Racing Genk
Position: Midfielder

Thijs is a threat from midfield, relishing every opportunity to get forward.

His role in qualifying was non-existent, but his attacking prowess leaves coach Robert Waseige with plenty of extra options.

Has scored a number of important goals for his club and often takes spot kicks.

His temperament remains a question mark. He has received his marching orders on occasion for lashing out in frustration.
