20 mins: A long ball up-field finds Trezeguet but Senegal goalkeeper Sylva is quick off his line and clears the ball before colliding with the France striker. Optimistic penalty appeals are quickly dismissed.
6 mins: Diouf skips past Marcel Desailly down the left-hand side and cuts the ball back to Khalilou Fadiga on the edge of the area. But the Senegal midfielder fails to connect cleanly and Barthez easily saves.
