Redknapp is joining the BBC team
The BBC has confirmed its team of presenters, commentators and pundits for the World Cup.

Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel, Celtic manager Martin O'Neill, and Spurs midfielder Jamie Redknapp will be among those joining Match of the Day regulars Gary Lineker, Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson in the London studio.

Leeds boss David O'Leary, Sunderland manager Peter Reid, and former England international Ian Wright make up the formidable line-up.

They will be joined from Japan and Korea by Hazel Irvine, John Motson, Barry Davies, Trevor Brooking, Garth Crooks, John Salako, Mark Bright, Joe Royle, Steve Wilson, Tony Gubba, Trevor Steven, Rob McLean and Paul McGrath.

The BBC's Head of Football Niall Sloane said: "This is one of the most exciting and experienced line-ups the BBC has had.

"We are all looking forward to a fantastic World Cup."
