Jones maintains his links with Wales
An ever-present since BBC Five Live launched in 1994, Ron Jones has been at the BBC since 1984.

His broadcasting career began when he was coaching football and cricket in Jamaica and was asked to work on local programmes.

On returning to the UK, Jones lectured at the University of Wales before moving to London to focus on sports presenting.

He has commentated on football, rugby, golf and athletics, and gave some memorable broadcasts at the Seoul Olympics.

Jones has worked on five World Cups and still lives in Wales with his family.
