Gray has won awards as player and broadcaster
A high-profile World Cup signing by BBC Five Live, Andy Gray brings to the microphone a deep understanding of football.

During his playing career at Dundee United, Aston Villa, Wolves, Everton and Rangers, he won many club honours.

In 1977, he also became the only player to scoop the PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards in the same season.

Capped 20 times for Scotland, Gray combined broadcasting with the post of assistant manager at Villa immediately after hanging up his boots in 1990.

He soon chose to dedicate himself to television alone, however, and picked up Sports Presenter of the Year for his coverage of the Premier League.
