Nihat Kahveci's dream move to Real Sociedad finally came off almost a year later than expected midway through the 2001/02 season.

He had been expected to join the Spanish outfit from Besiktas but he broke down with a knee injury and subsequently failed a medical.

Since the switch, he has proved to be an ambitious forward who causes havoc for opposition defenders.

He is only 21 and may not get an immediate starting berth but will be a useful substitute if called upon.
