Hakan Sukur is known as the "Bull of the Bosphorus", and is undoubtedly Turkey's most potent weapon in attack.
He is a favourite with the Galatasaray fans, having scored 173 goals during the eight seasons he was there.
He helped the Turkish club to Uefa Cup glory in 2000, after they defeated Arsenal in the final.
A number of top European clubs toyed with the idea of taking Sukur, before Serie A club Inter Milan came in for the striker and paid £4.9m for his services.
Sukur, renowned for his heading ability, joined Parma in January 2002, after failing to hold down a regular place at the San Siro.
