Lars Lagerback and Tommy Soderberg have announced Sweden's 23-man World Cup squad.

The squad is as expected and includes only three players from the national Allsvenskan.

Nine of the group are based with British clubs.

Barcelona's Patrik Andersson has not played a competitive match for almost three months, but has recently been declared fit and is in the squad.

Andreas Isaksson has been chosen as the third goalkeeper to travel to the Far East, ahead of Orgryte's Dick Last.

Andreas Andersson of AIK and Mattias Jonsson of Brondby managed to secure their places in the squad with impressive performances in the last few weeks.

Everton's Jesper Blomquist failed to make the squad despite making a big impression when he was recalled for the first time in three years for the recent friendly against Switzerland.

Sweden's World Cup squad:

Goalkeepers: Magnus Hedman, Magnus Kihlstedt, Andreas Isaksson

Defenders: Tomas Antonelius, Patrik Andersson, Erik Edman, Andreas Jakobsson, Teddy Lucic, Olof Mellberg, Johan Mjallby, Michael Svensson

Midfielders: Niclas Alexandersson, Daniel Andersson, Mattias Jonsson, Tobias Linderoth, Fredrik Ljungberg, Hakan Mild, Anders Svensson, Magnus Svensson

Forwards: Andreas Andersson, Marcus Allback, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrik Larsson
