South Africa midfielder Teboho Mokoena has been credited with Bafana Bafana's first goal of the World Cup.
The goal, in the 2-2 draw against Paraguay, was initially given as an own goal by Paraguay midfielder Estanislao Struway.
Mokoena's weak shot appeared to be both covered by the keeper and possibly going off target, but it struck Struway on the left foot and the change in direction gave Tavarelli no chance.
However, Fifa have ruled that Mokoena should get the credit.
"It counts as a goal for Mokoena," said Fifa communications director Keith Cooper.
"The Fifa technical
delegate was adamant that it was not an own goal.
"We put the accent on the positive."
