Slovenia's central defender Marinko Galic has returned to training after a thigh injury.

But Tottenham Hotspur's new signing Milenko Acimovic is still a doubt for their opening group game against Spain next Sunday.

The squad are continuing their preparations for their first World Cup in Mimasaka but manager Srecko Katanec is not too worried about his players' health.

Former Ipswich Town midfielder Amir Karic also missed training because of a thigh problem but he is expected to be fit.

Midfielders Rajko Tavcar, who missed one training session because of knee problems, and Unterhaching's Dzoni Novak, who was suffering from a cold were also back in action.

"I'm realistic about this," said Katanec. "I experienced training camps on other continents myself, when I was member of the Yugoslav Olympic team in 1984 in Los Angeles and in 1988 in Seoul."

The Slovenian manager already started to focus on the first match of his team against Spain.

"I hope that my players won't enter any match completely fearless. This wouldn't be the right thing. But in the same time, we have to be aware of our strength, too," Katanec said.

Slovenia's star player Zlatko Zahovic, who had a spell with Valencia knows all about the Spanish players.

"They have fantastic players, especially Raul. I think my former team mate in Valencia Ruben Baraja could be a big problem for us.

"He led Valencia to the La Liga title this year. He is in a brilliant shape," Zahovic warned.

The Slovenian team is set to leave Mimasaka in the South of the Honshu Island on Monday for their main Korean base on the Jeju Island.

The farewell from the tiny town of Mimasaka will be difficult for both the team and their hosts.

"We really had incredibly good facilities to live and train here," Katanec added.
