Amara Traore
Club:Gueugnon
Position:Forward

Traore is the old man of the Senegalese attack and squad for that matter, so it is not surprising that his nickname is "Grandpa" among his team-mates.

Approaching his 37th birthday, he remains a trusted lieutenant of coach Bruno Metsu's but knows this is his last major tournament.

With El Hadjo Diouf and a series of prolific youngsters vying for the same position, his appearances will probably be limited.

But, even in the twilight of his career, he has the backing of all the players around him and adds the experience sometimes lacking from the Senegalese squad.
