Niall Quinn
Club:Sunderland
Position:Forward

Niall Quinn is the highest goalscorer in the history of the Republic of Ireland.

He finally passed the previous record of Frank Stapleton (20) against the Cypriots back in October last year.

At the age of 35, he is very much in the twilight of a lengthy and successful international career but is once again expected to lead the Republic of Ireland's attack this summer.

Now in his 17th year as an international, he is almost certain to hang up his boots after the tournament.

He made his first appearance at the finals back in 1990 but missed USA 94 as a result of injury and Ireland failed to qualify at France 98.
