Matt Holland
Club:Ipswich
Position:Midfielder

A sensational strike in World Cup qualifying against Portugal brought the Ipswich midfielder further into the attentions of manager Mick McCarthy.

Holland freely admits he lacks the same physical presence of Roy Keane but his industry is perhaps his strongest asset.

He is rarely injured and has worked well at the heart of the Irish midfield with Keane in the past.

His second season in the top flight with Ipswich has been some way off the first.

While the team has struggled, he has found it difficult to recapture quite the same form as an individual.
