Paulo Sousa is a figure who seems to have been on the international scene forever having made his first appearance in 1991.
But, despite a fast-approaching his 32nd birthday this summer, the Panathinaikos playmaker still has plenty to offer.
Sousa has skipped through a number of leading clubs in Europe, playing for Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, Juventus and Parma among others.
Some of his sharpness may have gone but the tough-tackling approach remains, plus the ability to spray passes to the likes of Pauleta and Nuno Gomes in attack.
Sadly, he may be consigned to more of a substitute's role.
