Hugo Viana was called up to the squad as a late replacement for Daniel Kenedy after he failed a drugs test.

Viana only recently celebrated his 19th birthday but has enjoyed a superb domestic campaign at Sporting Lisbon.

In a squad littered with ageing internationals, Viana is being looked at as the future of the game in Portugal, the youthful exuberance needed in the team.

And he is seen by many as the new Paulo Sousa despite not playing a part in the team's route to the finals.
