Pony-tailed midfielder Emmanuel Petit has perhaps never managed to hit the heights he reached with Arsenal in 1998.
He was a hugely influential member of the Gunners' Double-winning side along with compatriot and fellow midfielder Patrick Vieira.
However, following his move to Barcelona in the summer of 2000 his game tailed off and he has since returned to England with Chelsea.
He is known for being strong in the tackle and an excellent passer of the ball.
He made his France debut at the age of 19 back in 1990 and the best moment for his country came when he scored the third goal in the 1998 World Cup final.
Shortly afterwards, his summer of success reached even greater heights when he won £17,000 having put a single coin in a slot machine.
