England striker Michael Owen was forced to miss training on Tuesday, re-igniting fears he could sit out Friday's World Cup quarter-final against Brazil.
The Liverpool frontman was joined on the sidelines by Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes, who limped off after 55 minutes of Saturday's 3-0 win over Denmark.
Owen also failed to last the full 90 minutes against the Danes, a groin injury ending his participation at half-time after he had scored England's second goal.
Both Owen and Scholes, who has a sore foot, expect to play against the Brazilians, who reached the last eight by beating Belgium 2-0 on Monday.
