Tenorio's only part in Ecuador's arrival in the Far East was an appearance as substitute in the final qualifier against Chile.

Despite just a brief outing, he did enough to be included in the ensuing friendlies and finally make the final 23 for Korea and Japan.

The key to his arrival has been his form at club level where he has helped turn Liga de Quito from a second-rate side into First Division contenders.

He has the speed to beat opposition defenders and a powerful strike. His role is likely to be that of super sub.
