Jorgensen made his senior debut as a 20-year-old for AGF, Aarhus, and went on to score a total of 14 goals in 86 Superliga appearances.
From there his career took off, his impressive performances earning him a move to Serie A side Udinese where he has added an additional 21 goals in 115 league appearances.
He made his international debut against Scotland in 1998 but he has never quite been assured of a starting place.
His strike rate for the Danes - four goals in 31 matches - needs improving if he is to oust his rivals from the starting line-up.
That said, he provides players around him with a host of goalscoring opportunities when he is on the field.
