Robert Jarni made his international debut for Yugoslavia in 1990 and played in that summer's World Cup with them.
But he has represented Croatia since the country's re-formation at the beginning of the last decade.
And he was outstanding for Mario Blazevic's side at left wing-back when Croatia finished third in the last World Cup.
His performances in France led to a move to the then European Champions Real Madrid immediately after the tournament.
However, he has since moved on to Las Palmas, where he has spent most of this season on the sidelines.
