The BBC and the British Council are looking for 32 fans, one from each of the competing nations, to write about their experiences during the World Cup.
We don't want match reports; we want reports about the fans - their emotions, experience and culture.
Tell us about how the true supporters feel and respond to what's going on out there on the pitch this summer.
Whether you will be following the competition on TV in Italy, on radio in China or you are lucky enough to be in Japan and Korea yourself, we want to hear from you.
Send an email to email@example.com and tell us why you love the World Cup in no more than 250 words before 7 May 2002.
A panel of editors and writers will judge the applications and choose the best one from each country.
And, who knows? Come 31 May, you could be telling the world about your country, your fans and your World Cup experience.
