Drummond underwent an operation on an injured foot in March but managed to regain his fitness in time to make it to the World Cup.

He damaged his foot back in January, in the first match of the Costa Rican domestic season.

Prior to facing the surgeon's knife, he was reportedly being tracked by Argentine side Boca Juniors.

A sensational runner, he oustrips both attackers and defenders on the right flank although he can be played anywhere in the back four.
