Mauricio Solis is the midfield grafter, a hard worker who protects the back-line and ensures his side are never short of cover.

He refuses to get drawn forward and is a handy man to have in the side if the game develops into something of a scrap.

Most of his career has been spent at home where he now plays for Alajuelense.

However, he has had a spell in the USA with San Jose Earthquakes and was also once on the books of English Premiership side Derby County.
