Joseph-Desire Job
Club:Middlesbrough
Position:Forward

The 2001/2002 season saw a late upturn in fortunes for Job.

After an ill-fated move to Middlesbrough, he lost his place in the Cameroon set-up.

But after a loan move to French club Metz, he recovered his goalscoring form and was the only change from the squad that won the African Nations Cup.

Cameroon boss Winfried Schafer still believes the 24-year-old has the ability to produce the goods, having scored 13 goals in 14 games at the start of his Lyon career.

Originally tipped as a future French international, he followed his father's advice of waiting for the call to come from Cameroon.
