Gustavo Lopez has made a steady progression up the ladder in football.
He has not always been flavour of the month with the Argentine national side but has managed to force his way into the final 23.
He began his professional career with Independiente in 1991 and spent five seasons there before moving to Spanish side Real Saragosa in 1995.
Goals did not come by the bucketload and he was off loaded to Celta Vigo in 1999, where he has stayed ever since.
