Did Ireland deserve to be beaten?
Robbie Keane (middle) is mobbed after scoring Ireland's first goal
The Republic of Ireland crashed out of the World Cup following a dramatic penalty shoot-out in the second round clash with Spain in Suwon.

Did Mick McCarthy's men deserve to get beaten?

Ireland missed three of their five penalties in the shoot-out after holding the much-vaunted Spanish team to a 1-1 at the end of extra-time.

McCarthy can be proud of his team and the way they performed in denying the likes of Raul and company an easy trip into the quarter-finals.

Ireland proved that they had what it takes to go further. Do you agree?
