Q: How can I watch a BBC forum on my computer?

A: To watch or listen to live video/sound clips you need to install the free version of RealPlayer onto your computer.

Download RealPlayer at:

Follow the instructions given in order to register.

A cookie will be placed on your PC so that whenever you visit that site again your details will be recognised and set for any future downloads

Please note: - It is recommended that Mac and Windows '95 users download the Free RealPlayer 8 Basic.


Q: I missed the live forum can I still access it on the site?

A: Once a forum has been streamed live it is then encoded onto the site and is available 'As live'. All of the forums can be accessed in Sports Talk or by conducting a search of the site.


Q:I don't have access to the Internet, can I still watch a forum?

A: Interactive forums are also available via BBCi's interactive TV service on the Sports Extra option.


Q: How do I get the BBC's interactive services on digital TV?

Here is how to access them:

Via Sky Digibox

Press 'TEXT' on your remote control whilst viewing a BBC channel OR press the red button when you see a red symbol on your screen.

Via ITV Digital set-top box or iDTV set

Select BBCi on Channel 17 or press 'TEXT' as you watch a BBC channel. If you have problems you may not have downloaded the software. Press 'MENU', choose 'Technical Information', press 'Select' and then choose 'Auto Update'. Press 'Select' again to load the software which takes a few minutes.

If you have an Integrated Digital Television (iDTV) some sets cannot decode our services and your manufacturer should have an upgrade available. Please call the ITV Digital helpline on 0870 241 0394 for more help.

Via digital cable set-top-box

Press the Interactive key on your remote control. This takes you to the cable company's main menu and from there you can access BBCi services via their category.
