It is a well-taken kick but Ikor Casillas does well to get down to his left to hold it. Casillas tries to get the ball back down the field before Chilavert can get back to his goal but Roque Santa Cruz impedes him and is booked.

34 mins: Iker Casillas strays to towards the 18-yard line to meet a forward ball but then realises he can't make it and is caught in no man's land. But Paraguay cannot capitalise and the ball is bundled out for a corner.
33 mins: Paraguay get a bit of respite with a couple of attacks of their own, the second of which ends with Roberto Acuna shooting limply wide.
31 mins: De Pedro feeds Raul near the penalty spot. Raul controls the ball well and attempts an ambitious shot on the turn which goes wide.

It is headed clear by the Spanish defence but only to Francisco Arce whose low drive is parried by Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas. The ball then rebounds off Spain's defender Carles Puyol and goes into the net.
