All the action from Daegu as Slovenia took on South Africa in Group B.

90 mins (+3) South Africa manage to hold on in the hot conditions for their first World Cup victory in what was a very disappointing and forgettable game. South Africa 1-0 Slovenia.

85 mins: Delron Buckley goes close after a South African break. From the resulting corner, George Koumantarakis heads just over.

84 mins: Jabu Pule comes on for Quinton Fortune as South Africa try to hold on for victory.

80 mins: South Africa are slow to clear the ball and Amir Karic almost manages to capitalise but his shot goes just over the bar.

77 mins: Zelijko Milinovic puts in a last-ditch tackle to deny Benni McCarthy in front of goal. McCarthy is injured in the process and has to be stretchered off. He is replaced by George Koumantarakis.

76 mins: Nastja Ceh's corner is easily held by Andre Arendse as Slovenia try to get back into the game.

74 mins: Miran Pavlin is booked for an off the ball foul.

70 mins: Delron Buckley comes on for South African goalscorer Siyabonga Nomvethe.

69 mins: The substitutions seem to have livened Slovenia up a little and Nastja Ceh forces a good save from Andre Arendse.

65 mins: Benni McCarthy has another good effort to double his side's advantage but shoots straight at the keeper.

64 mins: Quinton Fortune and Benni McCarthy combine well with McCarthy heading narrowly wide from Fortune's well-placed cross.

61 mins: Ales Ceh is the latest Slovenia player to get booked.

60 mins:With Slovenia badly in need of a win to stay in the competition, they make a double substitution with Nastja Ceh and Spasoje Bulajic on for Milenko Acimovic and Aleksander Knavs.

58 mins Tempers are starting to get frayed and Teboho Mokoena is booked.

55 mins: Quinton Fortune's inswinging cross is tipped away to safety by Marco Simeunovic before it can reach Benni McCarthy.

51 mins: A yellow card for Zeljko Milinovic for a foul on Bradley Carnell.

49 mins: Things get worse for Slovenia when their manager Srecko Katanec is dismissed to the stand by the fourth official for persistent arguing.

48 mins:A fierce shot by Benni McCarthy is blocked by Marco Simeunovic and put out for a corner.

34 mins:Muamer Vugdalic is booked for a spot of shirt-pulling on Benni McCarthy.

32 mins: Djoni Novak cuts in from the right and finds Milenko Acimovic whose shot is not too far off-target.

30 mins: South Africa continue to exert their superiority on the game which they have dominated for the first half-hour.

28 mins: The crowd in Daegu start getting a little more vocal and begin their version of a Mexican wave.

25 mins: Quinton Fortune commits a foul on Ales Ceh but Milenko Acimovic's free-kick is cleared by the South African defence.

24 mins: South Africa keeper Andre Arendse comes well off his line to claim a long cross by Djoni Novak.

21 mins: Miran Pavlin feels the effects of a clash of heads with Lucas Radebe but both players are fit to remain on the pitch.

18 mins: Quinton Fortune sends the ball out to Benni McCarthy who is forced wide and can't get a shot on target.

17 mins: South Africa continue their dominance and build from the back but Siyabonga Nomvethe's cross from the right is too close to the Marco Simeunovic

15 mins: Benni McCarthy is caught offside just outside the area with only the keeper to beat.

11 mins: Lucas Radebe is booked for a foul on Sebastjan Cimirotic.

10 mins: Slovenia seem shocked by conceding the early goal and look second best at the moment.

7 mins: Siyabonga Nomvethe needs treatment after receiving a knock but he is soon fit to continue.

4 mins: South Africa take an early lead when Quinton Fortune's free kick finds Siyabonga Nomvethe whose effort goes in off his thigh. South Africa 1-0 Slovenia.

3 mins: Zeljko Milinovic heads over from a free kick - Slovenia's first real chance of the game.

0730 BST: Slovenia kick-off the match with both sides seeking their first win of the tournament.
