BBC Sport Online rates England's players during the 1-1 draw against Sweden.
David Seaman
Hardly had a save to make in the first half, but brilliantly denied Teddy Lucic twice after the break. Kept England in the game.
Danny Mills
At fault for Sweden's equaliser and error took shine off what had been an otherwise solid display at right-back.
Rio Ferdinand
A disciplined performance from the Leeds defender. Brought the ball out well from the back and showed good poise.
Sol Campbell
Outjumped the Sweden defence to power home opening header. Booked early on in the game but maintained composure.
Ashley Cole
Defended well, but attacked even better and won the corner that led to Campbell's goal. Late error nearly punished.
David Beckham
Showed his value at set-pieces, delivering the perfect corner for Campbell to score. But tired and was substituted.
Owen Hargreaves
Energetic display from the Bayern Munich midfielder who continues to enhance his international reputation.
Paul Scholes
Tenacious as ever, but failed to make his usual impact from midfield. Lack of back-up meant forward runs were limited.
Emile Heskey
Tracked backed well but attacking-wise had an ineffective game on the left. Posed greater threat in central role.
Darius Vassell
Best England player by far. Full of tricks and pace, threatening the Sweden defence on numerous occasions. Deserved a goal.
Michael Owen
Did not get much in the way of chances and failed to really test the Sweden defence with his blistering pace.
Substitutes:
Kieron Dyer
(Replaced David Beckham after 62 mins) Not given enough time to make an impact, but can expect to get more action in next game.
Joe Cole
(Replaced Darius Vassell after 73 mins) Squandered a chance to set up better-placed team-mates in the area.
