82 mins: Raymond Kalla leaps to glance the ball clear as Al-Hassan Al-Yami prepares to pounce.

Cameroon 1-0 Saudi Arabia

62 mins: A mix-up in the Saudi defence presents Salomon Olembe with a chance. With the keeper stranded, he crashes an effort barely wide of the upright.

59 mins: A superb, jinking run from Nawaf Al-Temyat opens up the Cameroon defence. The lively midfielder unleashes a shot which Boukar Alioum spills. Al-Hassan Al-Yami follows up the rebound and looks to be tripped by the keeper. The referee's response is to book the Saudi player for diving. Replays show the decision was correct.

53 mins: Cameroon increase the tempo and force another fine save from Mohammed Al-Deayea.

52 mins: Shocking finishing from Samuel Eto'o is a poor end to excellent approach play from Salomon Olembe.

49 mins: Lauren strikes a fierce, low drive from the edge of the box, which Mohammed Al-Deayea does well to smother.

47 mins: The first chance of the second half falls to Raymond Kalla, who nods the ball straight into the arms of Mohammed Al-Deayea.

45 mins: Saudi Arabia are unfortunate not to lead at the interval after their solid defensive display and fast, incisive breaks. By contrast, Cameroon are lacking ideas and struggling to find their rhythm.

45 mins: Midfield playmaker Nawaf Al-Temyat again causes Cameroon problems. He bends a shot narrowly wide.

42 mins: An over-stretching Nawaf Al-Temyat slides his shot wide of the post. Saudi Arabia are looking the more dangerous team, particularly when Nawaf Al-Temyat is in possession.

37 mins: Mohammed Al-Deayea fumbles a cross and the ball falls at Patrick Mboma's feet. The striker rushes his shot and fails to take advantage of the Saudi keeper's error.

35 mins: Al-Hassan Al-Yami replaces the unfortunate Obeid Al-Dossary, who had looked a real threat up front for Saudi Arabia.

32 mins: Obeid Al-Dossary takes a tumle, appearing to twist his ankle. He is stretchered off.

29 mins: An accurate centre is delivered by Geremi, finding the head of Patrick Mboma. He can not direct the ball goalwards and another chance is missed.

27 mins: From a tight angle, Pierre Wome strikes a curling free kick just over the bar.

23 mins: Nawaf Al-Temyat's influence on the game is growing. His smart backheel almost creates an opening, but the Cameroon defence stands firm.

22 mins: Rigobert Song heads behind, conceding a corner. The cross is headed out and breaks to Nawaf Al-Temyat. His shot is drilled well off target.

18 mins: Nawaf Al-Temyat attempts to set up a swift attack but is bundled over. The resulting free kick is blazed high and wide.

16 mins: The match settles into a pattern of continued Cameroon pressure, interrupted by occasional Saudi counter attacks.

13 mins: Frustration shows on Patrick Mboma's face as the Cameroon front line are caught offside once more. This time the guilty party is Marc-Vivien Foe.

11 mins: Patrick Mboma burst through the middle, rounds the goalkeeper and nets for Cameroon. But his strike is ruled out for offside.

8 mins: Obeid Al Dossari sprints into a gap between two defenders and connects with a precise cross. But he fails to control his header, wasting an excellent chance to put Saudi Arabia in front.
