1422 BST: Referee Anders Frisk blows his whistle as Brazil prove too strong overall but China can be happy with the work they put in. Brazil 4-0 China

90 mins (+2) China win a late corner off Lucio but the corner is headed away for the final action of the game.

87 mins: China continue to work hard but they can't cope with Brazil's greater ability.

85 mins: Qu Bo plays a neat one-two to get into the penalty area but Marcos does well to block his shot.

83 mins: Qu Bo finds his way into the penalty area blocked by Roberto Carlos and Roque Junior.

81 mins:Yang Pu sets up Qu Bo but Roque Junior guides the ball out for a corner which is safely claimed by Marcos.

79 mins: Although China are working hard defensively, they are struggling when they go forward.

77 mins: Denilson's corner is played short and cleared by China.

71 mins: Chinese keeper Jiang Jin twice denies Ronaldo who is substituted moments later and replaced by Edilson.

70 mins: Ricardinho replaces Juninho.

69 mins: China 's Shao Jiayi forces Marcos into a smart save from his free kick.

68 mins: Roque Junior gets a yellow card for a foul on Xu Yunlong.

65 mins: Substitute Yang Pu and Hao Haidong break forward but their weakness in the final third of the pitch shows and the ball goes out for a goal kick.

61 mins: A snap shot by Zhao Junzhe hits the upright and bounces clear.

58 mins Cafu almost makes it five only for a timely interception by Du Wei.

54 mins: Cafu works hard to get into the China penalty area shaking off the challenge of Li Weifeng. He gets a cross in to the unmarked Ronaldo who has the simplest of tap-ins. Brazil 4-0 China

51 mins: Roberto Carlos crosses in from the left but he cannot connect with one of his teammates.

48 mins: Ma Mingyu tries a long range shot which goes well wide of the target.

1333 BST: The second half starts with Denilson coming on for Ronaldinho.

45 mins (+2): Referee Anders Frisk blows the half-time whistle after two minutes of stoppage time with Brazil dominant.

44 mins: Brazil are awarded a penalty after Ronaldo is pulled back by a combination of Li Weifeng and Du Wei. Ronaldinho makes no mistake from the spot. Brazil 3-0 China

41 mins: Ronaldo gets above the Chinese defence but heads the ball over the bar.

40 mins: Ronaldinho is stopped in his tracks by Xu Yunlong but the ball goes out off the Brazilian for a China throw.

37 mins: Wu Chengying swings a corner in but Brazilian keeper Marcos is able to collect.

36 mins: Ma Mingyu's effort takes a deflection before going out for a corner.

35 mins Another free-kick for Brazil from well outside their area but this time Roberto Carlos is not as lucky as the ball hits the wall.

32 mins: A delightful crossfield ball by Cafu finds Ronaldinho. His cross reaches Rivaldo who makes no mistake from close range for his second goal to stretch Brazil's lead. Brazil 2-0 China.

29 mins: Although Brazil are well in control after the goal, they still can't get through the China defence.

26 mins: Another burst forward from Ronaldo but Li Weifeng gets back to defend well and shield the ball out for a goal kick.

23 mins: Ronaldinho is booked for diving on the edge of the China area.

22 mins: Rivaldo's corner is blocked and cleared allowing Qi Hong a run at the Brazilian defence but it all comes to nothing.

20 mins: Xu Yunlong needs treatment after a clash with Ronaldinho.

19 mins: Cafu breaks through the Chinese defence but his effort is blocked.

15 mins: Brazil are awarded a free-kick outside the area for a foul on Ronaldinho. Roberto Carlos steps up and sends one of his trademark powerful efforts to the right of Jiang Jin. Brazil 1-0 China.

11 mins: China look the more lively side even at this early stage.

8 mins: Xu Yunglong causes problems for Roberto Carlos on the right showing that China are not overawed by their more highly-rated opponents.

6 mins Brazil make good progress into the China half but a couple of slack passes by Juninho give possession back to China.

3 mins: Ronaldinho plays the ball into the path of Ronaldo but Ronaldo is offside.

2 mins: Cheered on loudly, Hao Haidong breaks forward but can't do too much with the ball.

1230 BST: China kick-off their historic first ever meeting with Brazil.

Brazil: Marcos, Cafu, Lucio, Roque Junior, Roberto Carlos, Gilberto Silva, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Juninho, Anderson Polga.
