NORTH & CENTRAL AMERICA
Caribbean zone: Three groups of eight play knockout matches. Three winners qualify for semi-final round. Runners-up into play-offs.
 Group 1  Group 2  Group 3
Central American zone: Two groups of three, winners into semi-final round. Runners-up into play-offs.
 Group A  Group B
Play-offs: Canada plays Group 1 runner-up. Group 2 and 3 runners-up play Group A and B runners-up, all for place in semi-final round.
Semi-final round: Three groups of four, including four automatic qualifiers - Costa Rica, Jamaica, Mexico and the United States. Top two teams in each group go to final round.
 Group C  Group D  Group E
Final round: Top three teams qualify for World Cup.
