To access this screen, select Options from Motty's right-click menu.
The different checkboxes alter Motty's behaviour in the following way:
Run on start-up
If you check this box, Motty will automatically start whenever you start your computer. This is only advisable for users with a permanent internet connection.
If you do not check this box, you will need to start Motty every time you want to use him, perhaps after you have connected to the internet.
Move Motty around
If you check this box you can move Motty around the desktop.
If you do not check this box then Motty cannot be dragged around the screen.
Follow live action
If you check this box Motty will pick up live score and other updates.
If you do not check this box then Motty will not react to live action, even when connected to the internet.
Football news updates
If you check this box Motty will receive the latest football news from BBC Sport Online.
If you do not check this box then Motty will not react to news stories, even when connected to the internet.
Receive Motty's Messages
If you check this box Motty will receive updates and information from BBC Sport at the top of the Football News tab of the bubble.
If you do not check this box then Motty will not react to these messages, even when connected to the internet.
Show help on start-up
If you check this box you will see the basic help INTRODUCTION box when you start up Motty.
If you do not check this box then Motty will start up without the INTRODUCTION box.
You can also switch this option off from the box itself.
Sound
ON and OFF simply switches Motty's sounds on and off.
Location
ON TOP OF OTHER WINDOWS means that Motty sits in front of any other windows or applications you have open on your computer.
BEHIND OTHER WINDOWS means that Motty continues to operate as normal but cannot be seen if you have another window open on your desktop.
This is subject to the SOUND being ON or OFF or Motty being Minimised or not.
