You read it here first. I tipped Kenya as a team to watch and they certainly came up trumps doing better than either I, or they, could have imagined.
That said it makes a nonsense of the World Cup that they reached the semi-finals.
Their victory over Sri Lanka opened up the whole tournament and what with New Zealand not going to Namibia... Kenya played by the rules and the rules were kind to them.
The key to their success has been discipline.
For a team that run around and smile a lot and clearly enjoy their cricket, they remain very disciplined and are terrific at doing the basics, particularly in their bowling.
Their success will have done cricket in Kenya an absolute world of good and they've got one or two experienced players who can help them build for the future.
Although hopefully they will not be rushed towards Test status on the back of this performance as I don't think they're good enough for that quite yet.
