A solid all-rounder, Kotze is one of the more experienced players in the Namibia side.
The 29-year-old's leadership qualities and reliability made him the obvious choice to take over the captaincy of the team when Daniel Keulder stepped down last year.
As well as being a top-class fielder, the Windhoek Warriors player is a fine off-spinning bowler, capable of getting his fair share of wickets as he proved during Namibia's tour of Zimababwe recently.
Usually in the middle order, he may not be a prolific batsman but he is a dependable run-scorer.
Kotze, whose brother Bjorn is also in the side, has been heavily involved in the development programme for cricket in Namibia in recent years.
