India v Sri Lanka: over by over
India 292-6 (50 overs) beat Sri Lanka 109 all out (23 overs) by 183 runs

India produced a stunning performance in the field to thrash Sri Lanka in an overwhelmingly one-sided contest.

Marvan Atapattu, Jehan Mubarak, Mahela Jayawardene, Aravinda de Silva and Prabath Nissanka were all dismissed for ducks as Javagal Srinath and Ashish Nehra took four wickets apiece.

Earlier Sachin Tendulkar put on 153 for India's first wicket with Virender Sehwag (66) but fell three runs short of a century. His 97 took him past his own record for runs scored in a World Cup.

23rd over: Murali is dancing around the wicket to every delivery, much to the delight of the crowd. He fires another big four, this time past mid-wicket. A curious inside edge gives him a further boundary. But it ends when he is caught by Kaif off Nehra.
